Gaetano Bergami, from the age of 22, began working thanks to the passion for motorcycles and in 1976 he created BMC. In 90’s BMC begun his collaboration with Ferrari producing air filters. Since then, BMC has supplied the most important F1, WTCC, American Le Mans, DTM, Superbike, MotoGP and many more teams. The expertise acquired as a supplier in Formula1 was soon transferred to the Aftermarket sector and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) where BMC becomes a supplier of the most prestigious car manufacturers in the design, development and production of complex air filters and entire filtration systems in the super and hypercar sectors. Between 2008 and 2010, thanks to the opening of a new advanced composite department specialized in the processing of carbon and other innovative materials; BMC also enters the aerospace, industrial and nautical sectors. In 2019, BMC inaugurates a new production plant built entirely with a 4.0 perspective to meet the highest quality standards worldwide. In 2022, a new plant will be built dedicated to logistics. Bergami is also National Head of CNA Aerospace, President of the Emilia Romagna Aerospace Cluster IR4I and President of the Emilia-Romagna Section of the Italian Association of Aeronautics and Astronautics (A.I.D.A.A.) and a member of the National Board of Directors.
