Giorgio Sanna, born in Rome in 1975, joined Lamborghini in 2001 as test driver in the Research and Development department, contributing for more than 10 years to the development of all production models, from Murciélago to Huracán; since 2009, as chief R&D test driver he was involved in the development of racing cars in Sant’Agata Bolognese Company. In his racing career, he won the GT Italian Championship in 2011 and a number of FIA Speed Records on the Nardò circuit, still undefeated. In 2015, he was appointed Lamborghini Head of Motorsport, being responsible of the Squadra Corse (Lamborghini motorsport department) and its programs - three international one-make Lamborghini Super Trofeo championships, the GT3 customer racing and the development of unique pieces and limited editions cars for track use.
